Second Valley
Second Valley is located just of Main South Road between Rapid Bay and Normanville. The main road into this tiny coastal port is marked by the old mill, now converted to more modern uses. The town itself is reminiscent of a Cornish fishing village, hugging the edge of Yankalilla Bay. The rugged geological formations and steep coastal cliffs help make Second Valley unforgettable, while fishermen know it best for the fine fishing, whether it’s from the jetty, rocks or from boats anchored in the bay. Its protected waters provide scuba divers and snorkellers with a memorable experience, with fur seals and Leafy Sea Dragons often coming out to play. Wander along the pathway leading south from the Jetty, noting examples of extreme geological folding in the cliffs. A caravan park, general store and a number of rental holiday homes cater to visitor needs.
